MONSOON ACTION PLAN FOR CONSTRUCTION SITE
Objective: Monsoon is a major weather phenomenon and substantially impacts construction activities. This monsoon plan aims to identify the hazards and risks associated with monsoon at various stages of construction at the project site and to place adequate control measures to mitigate the risks and prevent accidents during the work, activities thereby facilitating the smooth progression of work. Potential Hazards during monsoon: Some of the potential hazards are Flooding and water accumulation at the site, immersion of materials, landslide, toppling of vehicles, electrocution, fall of man &material due to slippery nature of the site, lightning and thunderstorm attack, contamination of soil due to oil & fuel spill, accumulation of food and other waste, spreading of communicable diseases, mud spill on public roads while transporting the materials which may pose a hazard to motorists and pedestrians due to its slippery nature, local traffic congestion, accidents during trans...
