Batching Plant Inspection Checklist

1. Only Trained operators deployed.   Yes/No

2. Log book is maintained for batching plant maintenance.  Yes/No

3. Lockout and Tag out the system in place.   Yes/No

4. Limit switch for the mixer drum is functional.  Yes/No

5. Emergency stop push button at mixer drum is functional. Yes/No

6. Emergency stop push button at the skip bucket area is functional. Yes/No

7. The guarding/ fencing for the skip bucket area is available. The fencing doors are fitted with a limit switch cut off and is functional?   Yes/No.

8. Is the hooter to warn the transit mixer driver is functional.   Yes/No

9. Is the siren is blown before starting the plant to warn the workmen.  Yes/No

10. Pressure relief valve available for silos (silo top) and inlet lines (compressor outlet).  Yes/No

11. Screw feeder drive motor fan guard is available.  Yes/No

12. Compressor Third Party Inspection (TPI) Certificate available   Yes/No.

13. Compressor drive belt guard is available.  Yes/No

14. Is there any spillage of oil and grease on the mixer drum platform.  Yes/No

15. Is the Skip bucket is locked during skip bucket area cleaning. Yes/No

16. Is there proper approach for the vehicle movement.  Yes/No

17. Housekeeping around batching plant is maintained  Yes/No

18. Water sprinkling is in practice for dust control. Yes/No

19. Fire extinguishers are installed at control room, compressor and cement feeding pump.  Yes/No

20. Is there sufficient exhaust fans in the cement go downs.   Yes/No

21. Is the dust extraction system in place (Bag filter) for silo’s and cement feeding and is maintained.  Yes/No

22. Hopper feeding ramps provided with hard barricading. With delineators/ reflectors (hand rail).  Yes/No

23. Is the belt conveyor horizontal movement wheel is having stoppers and rail is provided with end stoppers. Drive chain of the horizontal movement motor is guarded.   Yes/No

24. Power supply is taken through ELCB/RCCB rating 30 mA.  Yes/No

25. Whether worker are wearing required PPE (Safety helmet, Safety goggles, Hand gloves,safety shoes, nose mask etc.)  Yes/No

 Hot Work:-  Means any activity that generates heat, flame, and/or sparks that could potentially cause a fire incident. Such may include welding, grinding, gas-cutting, pipe brazing, etc. Welding & Gas Cutting:- A.  Welding and gas cutting operations should be done only by qualified and authorized persons and as per IS Specifications and Code of Practice.
